Chucks Report from Hearings in Pittsburg
Once again all who testified were extremely creditable. I personally found the testimony of the detective from New Jersey and the soldier with Pat were the most effective in showing the need to change our government's war against marijuana. Great job Pat and all who were responsible for lining up the witnesses! Now the heart of the matter. The purpose of these hearings is to bring the facts to bear so as the truth can be determined. The hearings started with Rep. Myers. A half hour into the hearing, he was joined by Rep. Wheatley. There are 26 members of the Health and Human Services committee. 24 of which did not find this issue important enough to attend. Even if you are 100% right on an issue, if they are not there to hear the truth, what good does it do? This is the biggest most important issue going on in America (because it shouldn't even be an issue) and they can not even take time to hear the facts and truth.
Obviously I could go on and on but these fact should speak volumes.
August 7, 2010 Event
Thank you to the 30+ couragous people who came out to help educate the public and demand their civil rights. At one point, all of the signs were exhibited and over 1,000 people passed by. We sold 20 shirts, passed out some literature and had a good warm reception from the public. Over all, a great event! Keep up the great work!

On June 14th, my wife and I had our second visit with Congressman Todd Platts (R. Dist #19). I wanted to find out if there was anything like a national ballot initiative or referendum on the federal level, which there is not. When discussing medical marijuana, he just kept going back to what the very respectable FDA has stated and continues to stand on...that marijuana has no medical benefits and is a class 1 narcotic. He did make it VERY clear that no one is beating down his door regarding this issue and doesn't feel that it anywhere near the front burner on anyone's priority list. We have been the only one's to personally go see him. So, folks, this means EVERYONE who supports MMJ simply MUST SAY SO! They don't believe that people are afraid to approach them. They are very approachable, so please stop living in fear.

At the hearings in December, Katie True presented her own agenda to the committee. The backbone of her information is based on studies done by a Dr. Nahas from Columbia University. She stated in her cross examination of one of the doctors that there is so much information out there, how do you know what is credible? Katie, all you had to do was GOOGLE Dr. Nahas Columbia University and you will find your answer and it would have taken you 10 minutes to discover this guy is one of the biggest frauds out there. In a lowsuit in France, defending the credibility of his studies and findings a French jury rulled in his favor. Dr. Nahas invested literally 10's of $1000's of his own money (U.S. Currency) to be awarded 1 Frank equating to a grand total of...

Katie, this is a typical example of the passing around the same old rhetoric and propaganda of the past that there is no truth, facts or reality to back it up. Had you done your research you would have arrived at the truth. However, since you are divorced from reality and science and continue to be irrational you fail to hear the truth. Last year we had a total of 22 people who stayed and held signs for the duration of the event. This year we had 65 couragous people who stayed and hundreds who filtered through. We passed out over 300 pieces of literature and sold 52 shirts. We also added 5-10 people to my core group of dedicated citizens fed up with this government on this issue, and willing to do what I am doing to stop this ignorance. As you can see, we tripled in numbers. If this continues, it will only be a matter of time before we can have safe access to our medicine. Thank you to everyone who made this event a great time!
Regarding the April 3rd Event
Brothers and sisters, thank you so much to the almost 60 courageous supporters who walked away from fear by coming out into the light and teaching the truth about marijuana to their fellow man. From the owners of the local stores purchasing t-shirts to the overwhelming sounds of horns blowing and people hollering, it is clear that it is the not will of the public to continue to imprison people who smoke marijuana. Once again, the police were like bees around a hive and no one hassled or even talked to by them. At one point a police cruiser pulled up to one of the corners parked in the wrong direction noticing the discomfort to the protestors. I walked over to the cruiser and asked the officer if I could help him with something, he replied, “he was just observing” to which I replied, “that’s ok, we will educate you too!” He refused my offer for literature. We passed out over 1500 pieces of literature and sold 20 shirts. There were 3 tv stations and 2 newspapers on site. This was all around a great time. The spirit felt within the protestors was extremely gratifying as well as the public reception!
WHAT IS AN ADVOCATE?
An advocate is like a union rep when a company or business gets too big for its britches. The employees then band together under the voice of their union rep. I am the voice of all those living in fear, or are in too poor of health, or whatever reason it may be to stand up for their rights. I need you to empower me by attending my marches and protests. I have a plan and know how to bring this issue to an end! Who else out there can say that?

In July of '08 we set up www.medicalmovement.com and in the first 8 months, we had less than 1,000 hits on the site. Now we are up to 20,000 hits.
On September of '08 I did my first march and protest, I had 1 person show up. 1 year later in September of '09 I had 22 people show up...as you can see in the past 12 months, there has been a 20 fold growth.
If this continues to happen over the next year to come, this government is going to be in big trouble. When 100's of us spread out in these towns, no one will be able to ignore us. Prove your love for this country by what you do, not by what you say.

Lobbyists needed for 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the capital any Monday or Tuesday in Harrisburg. This is the single most important thing that you can do. The second most important thing is wear your shirts wherever you go. Continue to pass out literature thus educating everyone you come in contact with. This keeps the issue in the forefront. Medical Movement Making It HAPPEN!!! Hearings took place on December 2, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the main capital in Harrisburg. We had a nice turnout. We'd like to extend a special thanks to Sandy Crue, Mom, & Kids. Great job!!!! In addition, all those who testified had a great impact on the few who remained in attendance to listen. The Committee Members reminded me of middle school children who couldn't sit still through an assembly in the auditorium. After the first few speakers, there were only 13 of the 26 Committee Members in attendance, and at the conclusion of the meeting at 2:30 p.m., there were only 5 members left! Many patients were left who didn't get the opportunity to share their testimonies. I consider it a "slap in the face" that the legislators would not remain present for the entire duration of the meeting when the patients who were there to share their stories endured it in discomfort to many of them. Hopefully, they will review the excellent testimony from the doctors off of the video. With an issue of this enormity, you would think they would give the proper respect to those who were there to testify. As a tax paying citizen, I was appalled to see how the whole process works. If you take notice, Rep. Matt Baker has been moved to the top of my list because he obviously had his own agenda and did not come in with an open mind to hear the facts put before him. Happy to report my last lobbying experience was with Rep. Dan Moul (Republican from Adams County) after 45 minutes of discussion, it is obvious to me that he has a good moral compass and I feel he will support the bill when it comes to the floor.
Sandy and family couragously bringing truth to Seth Grove whose deceiving smile can fool just about anyone! Seth obviously doesn't know the meaning of the word compassion.
Seth is on my top 20 list!

In a Presidential Election Year...
Out of every 10 eligible voters in America only 6 actually
register to vote.
Out of those 6 only 5 make it to the poles to vote on election night.
Out of those 5 only 1.5 voters acutally know the integrity or anything else about the local legislator that they are voting for.
This shows that 3 out of 10 voters are making the laws for everyone to follow.
After researching this issue, I have found a way to influence atleast 5 of the 7 voters who are uneducated about who they are voting for. This brings any legislators job to a 50/50 vote at the polls on the night of the election. Stay tuned for my grand plan!!!

After trying for the 4th time to meet a legislator, I was face to face with his secratary who I will call Sherry (not her real name). Upon seeing me and immediately recognizing me, she greeted me and I could easily see a change in her demeanor. She told me that she had not been able to pin him down for an appointment yet, however she has had time to take a look at the material that I left behind and she agrees with most of the facts and sees from my literature that I have done a good job in covering any possible questions that might arise. There is one thing though that I have a question for that I can't find in your literature and that is, I smoked when I was in college and I heard that now a days, the marijuana is 10 times stronger and is that true and if so what happens when that falls into the hands of those who don't need it for medical purposes? She said this just after looking in all directions to make sure that no one was around to hear about her past! I told her that I had an answer to both of her concerns... The answer to the first question is out in the triangle, dealer stash is 10 times stronger but that rarely hits the streets, however when it does, I leaned in after looking in all directions to make sure no one was around to hear me say..."That is why we have double stuffed Oreo's" At this point, we both burst into laughter!
